Use to talk about when you should have done something already or at least started it.

It is time + subject + past tense

I´d rather

Use to talk about what you´d prefer someone else to do.

Subject + would rather + basic form (+ than)

I´d better

Use to talk about something when it is advisable to do it (in the present or future)

Subject + had better + basic form
